2012 is the 200th anniversary of the Bradford County Sheriff's Office. To Commemorate this event,

2009 UPDATE ON MEMORIAL PROJECT
This spring, the monument and street clock, to honor Deputy
Burgert and Deputy Van Kuren have finally been set in place in front of the courthouse.
To all who have donated; attended events; or helped raise funds for this memorial in any way, we can not begin to thank
you enough. We are sincerely thankful to each and every one of you.
Some of the many fundraisers have included
a golf tournament held at Tomasso's and sponsored by "the Barge"; Valentines dinner dances; sale of cactus plants, pumkins,
discount coupon cards and miniature memorial badges. We also recieved many, many donations from individuals and organizations
such as the Troy Middle School Children; Chemung County Deputy Sheriff Association; and many, many Fraternal Order of Police
lodges and police benevolent associations; as well as other fraternal & veterans organizantions. There were
also a few people raised money on there own and donated it to us; and a couple individuals who went through some rough times
& had been dealt with by Mike and Chris over the years. Again,
